El curso tiene como objetivo dotar a los participantes de las herramientas y conocimientos básicos sobre gestión de proyectos para presentar una propuesta de calidad a programas de la Unión Europea. El curso se focalizará en los principales elementos que deben ser tomados en consideración por las instituciones de educación superior (IES) latinoamericanas durante la fase de diseño y formulación de la propuesta. Principales temas a abordar: Identificación del problema y formulación de la idea de proyecto, selección de estrategia en función de prioridades de los programas, Identificación y selección de potenciales socios, Conformación del consorcio, Diseño y planificación de la propuesta (Marco Lógico y definición de objetivos, resultados, actividades, indicadores, riesgos e hipótesis), Planificación de actividades, preparación del cronograma, Estimación del presupuesto, Definición de los paquetes de trabajo, Definición de roles y tareas, Plan de sostenibilidad del proyecto. El curso comprende un ejercicio práctico en el que se desarrolla un perfil de proyecto basado en los documentos de candidatura 2018 del Programa Erasmus+.
Principales Fuentes de Financiación de Proyectos en el Espacio Euro-Latinoamericano de Educación Superior

El curso abordará las diferentes tipologías y principales fuentes de financiación existentes para apoyar acciones de cooperación entre instituciones de educación superior de la Unión Europea y América Latina. Se abordarán los diferentes fondos comunitarios para educación superior, ciencia y tecnología así como los fondos de cooperación nacionales tanto de carácter gubernamental como de organizaciones no gubernamentales. Se hará especial énfasis en los programas Horizonte 2020, Erasmus+ y en los programas de las agencias nacionales vinculadas a la educación superior.

Duration of a course: Training takes place over a two-week period.

Modality: Online through the USMEXFUSION Academy educational platform
The course structure:
1. Training starts with a 1st LIVE presentation with Q&A (1.5 to 2 hours). After the live session, the expert will share with participants two readings (minimum).
2. Three days after the live session, based on the content and direction of the first live discussion, the expert would shape the questions he/she would pose in three forums. He/She would then give about a week for participants to add to forums from stimulating discussions, and replying when necessary.
3. Once forums close, a 2nd LIVE presentation would be scheduled so that the expert addresses main points from the forums and an open discussion will follow. This 2nd LIVE discussion takes place towards the end of the second week of training.

Carlos Alberto Vigil Taquechel is a consultant in internationalization and international higher education cooperation. He is a graduate in the field of international relations and has a long experience in management of university projects. His career has focused in the field of higher education in the context of the institutional relations of the European Union and Latin America. He has coordinated and actively participated in programs, projects and actions of international higher education cooperation in the Euro-Latin American space of higher education. He was coordinator of the Office of International Projects of the Ministry of Higher Education of Cuba. As a consultant he has given courses on project management at several universities in Latin America. He is an evaluator of the Horizon 2020 Program of the EU.
